The West Carleton Arts Society (WCAS)

The West Carleton Arts Society (WCAS) has been a non-profit volunteer organization of active, talented visual artists and fine craftspeople since 1988. We have an active program including monthly ARTiculate Fireside artist chats, annual Spring Into Art Conference, Art on the Grass summer art festival, our fall Expressions of Art fine art and fine crafts show & sale, and the $100 & Under Christmas sale. Our aims, structure, and operating principles are set out in the Constitution, accepted February 2014. And we were incorporated on September 24, 2015.
Member benefits include opportunities to show work at several local venues including two Ottawa Public Libraries, West Carleton Family Health Team Clinic in Carp, Plant Bath Wall Space, and to apply to Expressions of Art and the $100 & Under Christmas sale. Members also expand artistic horizons at workshops and their network of contacts through exciting volunteer opportunities, ongoing email updates of our activities, events, and opportunities of interest.
Members have access to a free web link on the WCAS website, and teaching artists may have a listing on the website also. Our website is the place for up-to-date information on all our activities.
