Founded in 2009 by the collector Regina Pinho de Almeida, ICCo is part of a select group of private institutions that support art in Brazil. The Institute is a Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP) that is supported by funds from agreements, notices, donations, sponsorships and incentive laws.
ICCo's mission is to expand the appreciation and understanding of the value of the art of our time.
ICCo believes in art as a key transforming element in contemporary society.
The Institute advocates a greater presence of the private enterprise in promoting culture, filling the many gaps in the art system in the country.
ICCo articulates partnerships to strengthen institutional dialogue and collaboration, promotes the exchange of cultures and ideas and contributes to artistic training and the recovery of the country's cultural memory.
