Judith Selkowitz, president of Art Advisory Services, has been a recognized leader in the art consulting world since her first corporate commission for Xerox in 1970. She provides a professional, personalized approach to the business, whether for the purchase of a single painting or developing an entire collection that will enhance a specific corporate image.
Fluent in Italian and French, Ms. Selkowitz travels extensively through Europe and the Americas, and has built a solid network of relationships with museum directors, curators, private collectors, artists and dealers worldwide. She is an expert in the fields of contemporary, 19th and 20th century American and European art.
Ms. Selkowitz received her Fine Art education degree at Skidmore College and was a Fulbright Fellow in Rome. She served as an art researcher at the Archives of American Art, of the Smithsonian Institution. She has lectured at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, the Institute of Business Designers, the World Art Market Conference, Art News, the American Society of Interior Designers Conference, The Lotos Club and The Dartmouth Club. She has been interviewed as an expert in the art business for articles appearing in The Washington Post, Forbes, Businessweek, The Wall Street Journal, Interior Design, Contract, New York Times, Crains, CBS, ABC News and WNYC.
Ms. Selkowitz is a member of Appraisers Association of America, since 1995, MoMA A+D Circle, and a member of Chubb Preferred.
