Laxman Ahire’s works deal with a dystopian side of humanity and society which is quite visible to the human eye yet, it is relentlessly ignored under the garb of propriety and political correctness. These cloaks are often employed by governing authorities in power to portray a fair and just society, The common human suffers as a result fo such cloak and dagger games, and this is what Ahire’s works address in the most philosophical and simple way. Each symbol is used, misused, abused, and discarded to symbolize a power center and Ahire in his installations and paintings tries to nullify these associated meanings through his recent works on display. Laxman Ahire in his current suite of works holds up a mirror to the hierarchical values of society today and urges a response from the reflected humans of the world.
